Screener Squad: Woke

Woke TV Series Review

Keef Knight is a talented black cartoonist with a soon to be syndicated comic strip living in a hipster mecca of the Bay area. He does his best to remain apolitical and make funny cartoons but real life slams him into the pavement and forces him to confront what it means to be black in America. Oh, and he’s also seeing things. Like, inanimate things everywhere around him coming to life and talking to him. Being fully woke isn’t easy or fun but is this show? Find out as Mindy, Harmoni, Santi, and Michael Van Slyke address the question, are we woke or just sleepwalking?
