THE BINGE MOVIE REVIEW
In the near future, America has banned all drugs and alcohol, except for on one glorious night known as “The Binge”. On that night, adults are free to imbibe as much as theVince Vay want while competing in drug fueled competitions. Now that they’ve turned eighteen, best friends Griffin (Skyler Gisondo) and Hags (Dexter Darden) are able to participate in their very first Binge. Hags dreams of winning the Binge Challenges while shy Griffin just wants enough liquid courage to ask Lena (Grace Van Dien) to a party. Meanwhile, Lena’s father, Principal Carlsen (Vince Vaughn) has become convinced that Griffin intends to impregnate his daughter, so he goes off on a drug fueled mission to find Lena before Griffin does. If you think that sounds like a cross between a coming of age sex comedy and “The Purge”, you’d be right, but is this hybrid movie as good as the films that inspired it? Our crew of dissolute critics Santiago, Jena, Dogget, and Marco watched this Hulu exclusive and are ready to tell you whether you should binge it, or purge it altogether.
