WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BETTE & JOAN? – WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO HENRY FARRELL?
On this episode, we look at a pair of 1970’s TV movies from Henry Farrell, author of the original novel of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? Up first, Farrell’s 1970 adaptation of another of his books, How Awful About Allan, in which Anthony Perkins stars as a blind man recently home from a mental hospital who believes the tenant down the hall is out to murder him. After that, we look at 1972’s The Eyes of Charles Sand starring Peter Haskell as a man who starts to have visions of people who have recently died following his uncle’s own death, from an original script by Farrell. Co-host of Televised: The TV Movie Story, as well as host of The Lone Acting Nominees, Gordon McNulty, returns to the show for a look at these two Henry Farrell titles.

Frank Calvillo (Highly Suspect Reviews, Screener Squad, What Ever Happened to Bette & Joan?)
Born and raised in South Texas, Frank currently lives in Austin and has been in love with movies ever since his father showed him some Three Stooges shorts when he was five years old. Today he loves all kinds of film, regardless of era, country, budget or genre. He believes every film has an audience and is at least one person’s favorite movie. After writing for Sight & Sound and Slackerwood, he now writes for Cinapse where his increasingly random taste in all flavors of cinema (from Rashomon to Mars Attacks!) continues to thrive. His ultimate goal is to write a script for his boyhood crush, Michelle Pfeiffer.
