Screener Squad: Ted Lasso Season 4

TED LASSO SEASON 4 REVIEW

At the conclusion of Ted Lasso Season 3, everyone’s favorite mustachioed Coach Ted (Jason Sudeikis) resigned from London’s AFC Richmond, and moved back to America to raise his son. The Series 3 finale also hinted at a possible spin-off about Richmond’s first ever women’s football team. We do get to meet the Richmond women’s team, but not in their own standalone show. Instead, we get another season of Ted Lasso. Season 4 picks up three years after the events of Season 3, with team owner Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) wooing Ted back to Richmond to coach the newly formed Lady Greyhounds. Ted’s genial coaching style remains the same, but he’ll have to adapt to coaching women, learn to navigate women’s locker room etiquette, and deal with the fact that professional women’s teams only get a fraction of the attention and support their male counterparts do. He’ll also have to contend with his new assistant coach, the frosty Alice Chilton (Tanya Reynolds).who knows everything there is to know about the game of football, but still has a lot to learn about people. Season 4 brings back a number of beloved characters while introducing a whole team of new players (Abbie Hern, Faye Marsay, and Jude Mack, amongst others) as well as eccentric millionaire investor Zelda Southport (Tracey Ullman). Our reviewers Felix, Eoin, and Marco gathered in the Oneofus Coaches Office to discuss whether Ted Lasso is still a Premiere League franchise, or should be relegated to a lower division.

R.Felix Finch (Screener Squad)

A native of Sacramento, California, and having spent his post-pubescent years in Virginia, Nevada, Texas, and New York, Felix now finds himself pursuing his Juris Doctor at Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. Nothing is more calming to Felix than the comfort of Chaos, as his time in professional wrestling and on other podcasts has demonstrated, and Felix brings a love for the most absurd outings in the realms of cinema, finding his escape in things such as the overly complex world of Jupiter Ascending and perusing the unbelievably low-budget offerings of Tubi, which Felix is fully convinced is a Psi-Op. In addition to finding Felix here on OneOfUs.net, you can Check him out on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube sharing his life in Law School as “TheBrokeLawStudent.”

Eoin Daly

Born and raised in Dublin Ireland, Eoin currently lives in London and has been an avid film lover from as far back as they can remember. Eoin enjoys going to the cinema weekly regardless of the film: new, old, or the most random title. They have no preconceived notions when taking in a new film. They tend to look for the good in any film they watch and will always love the art form. They are a major fan of actress-led cinema and will never apologize for this one film bias.
