ONE PIECE SEASON 2 REVIEW
Hoist the colours and set sail into the long time coming season two of One Piece streaming on Netflix, adapted from the still ongoing manga and anime by Eiichiro Oda. Even if you are not a fan of the magnum manga opus but you are a fan of swashbuckling adventures, you’ll fit right in to Monkee D. Luffy’s (Iñaki Godoy) hearty crew of dreamers. The Straw Hat crew is finally in pursuit of the greatest treasure hidden on the Grand Line but they’ll have to navigate a stretch of massive sea full of untold tales ventured by pirates who’ve never returned. This season features a mysterious group of assassin pirates known as the Baroque Works who are in pursuit of Vivi (Charithra Chandran) who may know more than she’s letting on about the missing princess of Alabaster. Season two also features an angry whale, a never before seen bar brawl featuring 100 extras, a smoking marine who doubles up on cigars, and plenty of devil fruit powered pirates. Also, season two finally features the debut of everyone’s favorite doctor, Tony Tony Chopper (Mikaela Hoover) whom even the most hardcore fans have doubted they can successfully adapt to live-action. Did they have a helping of devil crow fruit with Bradly or did they pull it off? Bradly, Felix, and Chris Ayres venture out to uncharted waters and discuss how no other anime adaptation has been as ship-shape as this. They share their dreams and discuss their traumas while sharing the joy that is One Piece season two.

Bradly Martin (Screener Squad Boss, Eye on the Prize, Breakfast Pub)
Bradly Martin was born in the united states and grew up on a healthy diet of sports, films, and books. A rather shy lad who kept to himself, Bradly soon discovered the best way to know a person was to know what people liked. Throughout the years Bradly became a fan of many things and a fanatic of none. From Doctor Dre, to Doctor Strange and the who’s who of Whos. From Playstation to the Dreamcast and Marvel to DC. From LeBron James to James Bond and Lord of the Rings to Lord Palmerston (or Pitt the Elder if you agree with Wade Boggs) and is a huge fan of dad jokes and randomly obscure Simpsons references. Armed with a vast knowledge of comics, films, and pop culture. Bradly traveled the world making friends and sharing takes. As a young man Bradly married the love of his life young and grew older every year with each new child brought into the brood. If trends continue, Scientists predict that .2% of Canada (where Bradly and family reside) will be populated by Bradly’s children by the year 2029. You can hear him leading and listening to his favorite critics on the Screener Squad and maybe even providing some comments of his own.

Christopher Ayres (Screener Squad)
Born and raised in the suburbs of Hinsdale, Illinois, Chris Ayres would constantly watch movies as a child, and that obsession has only grown over time, even attending Columbia Film School in Chicago during his last couple years of college. Whenever he’s not working his exhausting day job, he’s either watching as many movies as he can squeeze into his free time (preferably movies he’s never seen before due to a never-ending desire to expand his knowledge of the art form), or trying to turn people on to movies they haven’t seen that he thinks are worth their attention. You can find him on Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram and Letterboxd (look for AyresForce or AyresForceOne)

R.Felix Finch (Screener Squad)
A native of Sacramento, California, and having spent his post-pubescent years in Virginia, Nevada, Texas, and New York, Felix now finds himself pursuing his Juris Doctor at Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. Nothing is more calming to Felix than the comfort of Chaos, as his time in professional wrestling and on other podcasts has demonstrated, and Felix brings a love for the most absurd outings in the realms of cinema, finding his escape in things such as the overly complex world of Jupiter Ascending and perusing the unbelievably low-budget offerings of Tubi, which Felix is fully convinced is a Psi-Op. In addition to finding Felix here on OneOfUs.net, you can Check him out on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube sharing his life in Law School as “TheBrokeLawStudent.”
