WE BURY THE DEAD MOVIE REVIEW
The apocalypse arrives with a bang after a catastrophic military experiment off the coast of Tasmania wipes out nearly all life on the island. Slowly, the dead begin to rise and shamble due to the effects of the fallout. Ava Newman (Daisy Ridley) scours the post-collapse nation for her missing husband. Clinging to hope, Ava joins a body retrieval unit tasked with clearing the dead — only to discover that some of the corpses have unfinished business. Less run-and-gun zombie chaos and more slow, creeping dread, this is an end-of-the-world story about grief, guilt, and the exhausting question of what comes after everything ends. The film trades jump scares for atmosphere, moral fatigue, and the unsettling idea that closure might be harder to kill than the undead. Caroline, Drew, and T.C. hole up in the One Of Us bunker to dig into this emotionally fraught zombie tale and decide whether We Bury the Dead rises above the grave or just shambles into oblivion.
