THE MISFITS MOVIE REVIEW
A team of international bad-ass thieves who do what they do not out of greed but to give back to those in need are gathered together by a briefly mysterious rich benefactor named “The Prince” to take on the biggest heist against evil yet: to steal a ton of gold from a privately owned prison in Abu Dhabi that is being used to fund terrorism. But to pull it off, they’ll need one more member on their team, a debonair gentleman thief that is, of course, Pierce Brosnan. Problem is, he’s not so philanthropic with his criminal efforts. This weird comedy-heist-action pile-up was directed by Renny Harlin who I remind you, has actually made some pretty decent big dumb movies before, but this one is just dumb. During this time, a fortuitous friendship sprung up between Chris and young Brian Salisbury, who was also a local film critic, and they merged their forces of will, and their laundry list of ideas for shows, to eventually build this paradise you see before you. Born in Boston, then ending up in Dallas, Texas in the early 2000s, Ben has always had a passion for film. Jennifer Lynn Larsen (Giganticast, Highly Suspect Reviews, Screener Squad)
Born near Seattle, WA, Jennifer has transplanted to Austin TX and is equal parts Roller Derby Girl, Cosplayer, Dungeon Master, Mothra Priestess, and game nerd. She writes the weekly Cosplay beat for Bell of Lost Souls under the name Mayhem’s Muse and travels the world competing in traditional Ground and Horseback archery tournaments with The Eastern Contingent. She comes to OneOfUs by way of Rage Select, where she is part of the dynamic duo “Team JRPG” with magical girl and fellow contributor Matt Frank. (So, SO much fangirling). Jennifer is known for her love of Dragonlance, classic JRPGS, and all things 1980s. She is a regular contributor to Giganticast and is currently diving through every Mothra project ever created. Lewayne White (Screener Squad)
Lewayne’s earliest memories are of watching movies and reading comics, which instilled in him a sense of wonder, a vivid imagination, and unrealistic expectations. It also means he spends a lot of time watching movies, writing scripts for them, and trying to get them made. He lives in the middle of middle America after landing there as a child, and has remained there mainly because he hates packing.
