I AM WOMAN MOVIE REVIEW
The voice and life behind what is arguably the greatest girl power anthem ever recorded is explored in “I Am Woman”. Tilda Cobham-Hervey plays 1970s Australian singer/songwriter Helen Reddy, whose journey from relative obscurity to feminist icon is charted here, along with the creation of her many hits, including Delta Dawn, You and Me Against the World, and the game-changing titular song. Evan Peters plays Reddy’s complicated husband/manager Jeff Wald and Danielle McDonald nearly steals the show as rock journalist Lilian Roxon in this story of a woman who helped changed the face and course of feminism. Listen as Frank, Jordan, Harmoni and Jennifer discuss whether or not “I Am Woman” does right by this legendary singer.
