AWAY TV SERIES REVIEW
From creator Andrew Hinderaker (Penny Dreadful/Pure Genius) comes the Netflix series about the best damn pilot anyone has ever seen, Emma Green (Hilary Swank) who leads a diverse and international team on a three year mission to Mars. Despite her strong feelings about the good the mission will do, Emma longs for the life she left behind. Her husband Matt (Josh Charles) deals with medical problems that prevented him from joining the mission while her daughter Alexis (Talitha Bateman) does the best she can to come of age without her mother around. And Emma’s own crew aren’t entirely sure they trust her to lead this historic mission. Bradly, Mark, and Santi discuss the out of this world performances, cheesy dialogue, and the utter lack of high concepts for a sci-fi series in their review.
