Screener Squad: Random Acts of Violence

Random Acts of VIolence Movie Review

Based on the Image Comic by Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti, this surprisingly dark horror film follows Todd, the writer of a comic called Slasherman which is based upon the imagined further exploits of a real life serial killer who was never caught. While on a driving press tour with his publisher, assistant, and girlfriend, they find that new murders seem to be following them, crimes which mirror the ones Todd has been putting in his comic. Is Slasherman back or do we have a copycat killer situation here? There’s a lot to be said about this film and your reception is going to depend on how you respond to incredibly bleak and gory horror films. Chris, Adrian, Nathan, and Ryan take a look at this one and see if it’s a cut above.
