PERRY MASON SEASON ONE REVIEW
We’re a little late, but it took some time to properly digest our feelings on HBO’s very adult reboot of Perry Mason. Drawing inspiration from the original books, the story serves as a prequel following our down on his luck eponymous hero (Matthew Rhys). Dealing with his struggling private investigator service and shell shock from the Great War, Perry find himself getting involved with a child kidnapping case that seems straightforward on the surface. However, the repercussions of this case could irrevocably change things for Perry, the clients, and even the city. Justin presides over this hearing as Mike RIojas and Alex make their case over whether this show does justice for a classic character or if it’s too different to please its core audience.
