Screener Squad: Ramy (Season Two)

Ramy Season 2 Review

Ramy Youssef returns for another awkward, complicated, humorous, and nuanced look at American Muslim culture with Ramy season two. Following his trip to Cairo at the end of season one, Ramy is back home and feeling more aloof than usual. After hearing about a new mosque at the other side of town, Ramy meets the mosque’s incredibly progressive and devout sheikh Ali Malik (Mahershala Ali) and decides to become his pupil. Can Ramy make lasting change through this powerful man of faith or are his problems toxic enough to bring down everyone around him? Dogget, Justin, and Alex have congregated together to sing the season’s praises…as well as condemn its very sinful faults!
