QUIZ TV MINISERIES REVIEW
Remember the infamous ‘coughing scandal’ from the UK Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? You might be surprised to hear that there was more to the story than you thought when you watch this new miniseries Quiz. Adapted from a 2015 book and 2017 stage play (seriously), this three-episode show follows the true story of Charles and Diane Ingram (Matthew Macfayden and Sian Clifford). After a tense couple of nights, Charles seemingly became the third man to win £1 million in the show’s history. That is until he was suspected of cheating and his night of victory turned into a grueling legal battle. However, what if it was possible that the couple may not have been as guilty as people thought? That’s certainly what director Stephen Frears (The Queen, Philomena) suggests as a possibility and you might be surprised by the points he makes. So choose to use Justin, Bradly, and Santiago as your lifelines to decide if this is a game worth playing or if you should take the money and leave.
