MRS. AMERICA MINISERIES REVIEW
FX has quite the history lesson in store for all of us with Mrs. America. Loosely based on the events leading to the Equal Rights Amendment, the story follows a number of notable feminists including Gloria Steinem (Rose Bryne), Betty Friedan (Tracey Ullman), Shirley Chisholm (Uzo Aduba), and many more as they deal with the oppositions to making lasting political and social change. Among those is Phyllis Schlafly (Cate Blanchett), who is preying upon the conventional gender norms of the time to rally the public against the movement for her own gain. Bradly, Wright, and Rose lend their own voices to decide if this movement has momentum or if it fizzles out before making its point.
