Highly Suspect Reviews: My Spy

My Spy Movie Review

This family comedy with Dave Bautista as a spy who’s great at the action stuff, but incapable of nuance, was supposed to come out months ago. Thus, the “Highly Suspect Reviews” qualification, as we saw it in a theater, and Chris, Ben, Spider-Mike, Frank, and Marco reviewed it in person. But hey, finally (because I know you’ve all been waiting with bated breath) this is coming out on Amazon. Bautista has to do the bidding to buy the silence of a smart and movie-precocious little girl who discovers the secret surveillance program Bautista is doing out of her building. And thus, the mountainous Bautista discovers how to connect with humans as the child and her hot mom melt his defenses. Yes, you’ve obviously never seen a movie like this before (sigh). So, formulaic, obviously, but is it bad? Check out our review here.
