THE LOVEBIRDS MOVIE REVIEW
Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani play a couple who have slowly slid in their relationship towards the end, and at exactly the moment they realize that it’s over, they get caught up in a situation where they have to go on the run rather than be implicated in a murder. Weird Eyes Wide Shut sex cults get involved. Which should be a selling point, right? Sadly, this New Orleans-set action-rom-com never quite reaches the level its stars deserve.
