Screener Squad: Monstrum

Monstrum Movie Review

The Screener Squad is going back to South Korea with this new period piece monster movie, Monstrum. The story takes place in the 16th century during the reign of King Jungjong (you know you can’t get enough of that Jungjong!) whose throne is being threatened by rivals within his own government. To make things worse, there’s some sort of beastie that appears to be slaughtering people in the woods and rumors of the reappearance of a deadly plague. The King is forced to beg a once-trusted advisor, that was removed from the kingdom long ago for political points, to seek out the truth behind the ‘monstrum’. Chris, Mindy, and Aaron investigate the matter right here.
