TALES FROM THE LOOP TV SHOW REVIEW
Amazon Prime takes you to the ’80s that never were with Tales From the Loop. Adapted from acclaimed sci-fi artist Simon Stålenhag’s art books and the equally acclaimed role-playing game set in the same universe, the show is set within a small Ohio town where life is centered around an experimental research center called The Loop. Each episode takes an anthology approach where a character’s life is affected by a crazy anomaly, a weird scientific device, or some other inexplicable byproduct of the Loop. How each character handles each scenario, and how it affects the stories of other characters, is the central drive of the underlying narrative linking the season together. Justin, Aaron, Tessa, and Ben have a very in-depth discussion on this artsy, meditative, and challenging show. Some critics have had some difficulty getting into its pacing. Some absolutely love this show. So, what did our critics think?
