THE PLATFORM MOVIE REVIEW
Hold on to your lunch. Because you might just lose it while watching this gross but fascinating sci-fi horror thriller The Platform. The story follows Goreng (Ivan Massague), a young man who volunteers to spend time randomly reassigned to different levels in a bizarre tower prison to qualify for an accredited degree. Every day, a large platform descends with a ton of food assuming everyone will only eat their share. But because they never do, by the time it goes to the lower levels, you might be lucky to get half-eaten scraps…if that. Can Goreng endure the six-months he signed up for without losing his mind due to hunger and distrust of his fellow prisoners? Max, Nathan, and Bradly dish out their opinions on whether this movie is a feast for cinephiles or regurgitated slop.
