UNDERWATER MOVIE REVIEW
A gigantic drill that has been put at the bottom of the Marianas trench is in big trouble. Like, immediately in this film, less than five minutes into an opening introspective Kristen Stewart scene, and the whole damn place starts imploding, people are running, sliding, dying, screaming. You see, Underwater is basically a deep-sea disaster film….until it turns out the problem wasn’t caused by earthquakes but MONSTERS. Then, it’s kinda more an Alien-analog. You know what, I’m generally ok with both if they’re done well. Whether or not it was done well was a matter up for debate among Chris, Mindy, Marco, Tessa, and Spider-Mike.
DIRECTED BY: William Eubank
STARRING: Kristen Stewart, Vincent Cassel, T.J. Miller, Jessica Henwick, John Gallagher Jr., Mamoudou Athie, Gunner Wright
