MARRIAGE STORY MOVIE REVIEW
Director/writer/producer Noah Baumbach outdoes himself with his latest, Marriage Story, a very human, funny, upsetting, and uplifting new dramedy. Adam Driver is a playwright in NYC who has become an underground success story. Scarlet Johansson is his wife, a once teen queen actress who after meeting him left the world of film to become his muse and theatrical star. After many years of marriage and a child together, their relationship is ending. Neither one of them wants it to be messy. Neither is entirely sure they’re making the right decision. Neither really wants to go through lawyers. But divorce IS messy, even with the best of intentions and when lawyers do come into it, things rapidly go downhill. Baumbach’s latest hit our critics (Chris, Marco, Frank) in exactly the right way. Check out their review here.
