Highly Suspect Reviews: The Report

The Report Movie Review

THE REPORT MOVIE REVIEW

We all know about the offenses committed at Guantanamo Bay that widely were reported upon, making ‘waterboarded’ a household word. But how did these operations by the CIA even come to be? How did they dodge around so many laws and conventions to make Americans have to face up to their own government committing acts of horror? More importantly, how did the word even get out about it at all? The Report dives into the world of Senate Staffer Daniel J. Jones (Adam Driver) and his dogged quest to uncover the truth while working for Senator Dianne Feinstein (Annette Bening). Heads up, fans of films like Spotlight and All the President’s Men, as The Report is that movie for 2019. Is it good though? Chris, Beau, Ben, Mindy, and Baz investigate.
