KNIVES OUT MOVIE REVIEW
Director/writer Rian Johnson does what he does: a deconstruction of sorts of the genre he’s playing with. Here, it’s the Agatha Christie-ish murder mystery and the surprises keep on a’coming. Daniel Craig plays the centerpiece detective who has been anonymously summoned to the home of a famous mystery writer who has been found murdered. One by one he hears the stories of the family and friends surrounding the patriarch as he, and we, start to put together the events of the evening. I suppose it would be ridiculous to even need to say, ‘but everything is not as it appears’? Check out our review of this film some are calling ‘a new classic of the genre’ with your critics Chris, Marco, Frank, Ben, and Beau.
