DOCTOR SLEEP MOVIE REVIEW
Little Danny Torrance from The Shining is back, only now he’s all grown up and has become Ewan McGregor. Turns out, evil ghosts aren’t the only thing out there that folks with the Shine have to be worried about. In Stephen King’s world, envisioned here by director Mike Flanagan, there are new bugaboos to contend with. The True Knot are a group of psychic vampires, led by the haberdashed Rebecca Ferguson, who torture, eat, and kill (in that order) young shiners. When they get a whiff of the off-the-scale new young lady on the scene, Abra, the girl reaches out to Danny for help. It’s psychics vs vampires in this sequel that expands the mythos, sets a new tone, but also delivers for fans of the book and the movie. Even Stephen King has given his full stamp of approval. But did your Highly Suspect Reviewers? Listen to Chris, Jennifer, Alan, and Harris tell their stories.
