DARK WATERS MOVIE REVIEW
Director Todd Haynes steps outside his usual comfort zone with this legal thriller. Mark Ruffalo plays a corporate attorney who discovers that in his small home town in West Virginia a number of mysterious deaths and sick animals are linked to the Dupont corporation, a company he’s had familiarity working for. As he goes from exasperated at being asked to deal with the situation to eventually being frightened for his career and family, he makes the sort of moral decisions that it seems like few ever do. Dark Waters is definitely that ‘true story’ that reminds us again that the big corporations do not have our best interests at heart but how does it stack up against other films of the sort? Listen to Chris, Mindy, and Jennifer give their testimonies.
DIRECTED BY: Todd Haynes
STARRING: Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins, Bill Camp, Victor Garber, Mare Winningham, Bill Pullman, William Jackson Harper, Louisa Krause
