THE CURRENT WAR MOVIE REVIEW
No, it’s not a political film about what’s happening right now, despite the title. What ‘current’ refers to is ‘electric currents’ (and not berries, as I was disappointed to discover). Thomas Edison is played by Benedict Cumberbatch and he is lighting up the world with DC current. George Westinghouse is played by Michael Shannon and he is doing the same with AC current. And it gets nasty. Throw in Nicholas Hoult as Nikola Tesla, Tom Holland as Edison’s personal secretary and so many more, well, it’s a film that one kinda has to check out. But was it worth it? Listen to Chris, Baz, Ben, and Marco give their report.
