HARRIET MOVIE REVIEW
Harriet Tubman was a badass. Anyone who knows about her life knows this is a lady who REALLY should have her picture on the 20.00 bill. At least. But here we are in today’s America. And here we are with a biopic about this amazing woman that unfortunately doesn’t do her justice. At least according to Chris, Michael Van Slyke, Harmoni, Kim, Mindy, and Frank. Starring Cynthia Erivo as Harriet, the film chronicles her escape from slavery and multiple returns to free other slaves (and her mutant psychic abilities, apparently). Listen to our review to see what went wrong.
DIRECTED BY: Kasi Lemmons
STARRING: Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom Jr, Joe Alwyn, Janelle Monáe, Jennifer Nettles, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Clarke Peters, Zackary Momoh, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Omar Dorsey, Tony Kittles, Tim Guinee
