DOLEMITE IS MY NAME MOVIE REVIEW
Rudy Ray Moore was kind of a thing. Becoming successful for his ‘pimp’ character comedy relatively late in his career, he decided blacksploitation films were the way to go and his character of Dolemite, was going to take the world by storm. And, in a sense, he was absolutely correct. But let me tell you, his story is really interesting, REALLY funny, and filled with some unforgettable characters. Or, at least it is the way director Craig Brewer tells it. With Eddie Murphy at the lead with the 2nd best comeback performance of the year and Wesley Snipes in what is the 1st best, Chris, Beau, Frank, and Sarah Jane thought this was a CAN’T MISS of a film. And from Netflix, no less. Be smart and see if this is playing in a theater near you this Friday and take all your friends and then watch it again when it hits Netflix on the 25th. In the meantime, check out their review.
DIRECTED BY: Craig Brewer
STARRING: Eddie Murphy, Keegan-Michael Key, Mike Epps, Craig Robinson, Tituss Burgess, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Wesley Snipes, Aleksandar Filmonovic, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Chris Rock, Ron Cephas Jones, Luenell, Gerald Downey, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Snoop Dogg
