Richard and Chris talk titles this week and honestly have a hard time picking the best one; just that much good stuff to talk about, and a lot of it.

Between classics like All That Jazz, The Legend of Hell House, new films like The Double and Revelation Trail and TV seasons like The Walking Dead: Season 4 and Now and Then, the boys have trouble coming to a decision.

But there’s no trouble with deciding to give you free stuff as there’s not one but TWO great titles we’re giving away a BUNCH of copies of this week. You just gotta listen!

Born in the wilds of northern Virginia, in 1992 Chris managed to put all of his survival skills to use and barely escaped with his life to Austin Texas, where ever since he’s dabbled in everything from plumber’s assistant to sandwich maker, from band to bar management. An opportunity to see theatrical release films for free, by becoming a critic on a local public access show called “The Reel Deal”, turned into a full time job when Chris and his friends decided to take it to the internet. They built the site Spill.com, adding multiple podcasts and animated features, to no small amount of success. During this time, a fortuitous friendship sprung up between Chris and young Brian Salisbury, who was also a local film critic, and they merged their forces of will, and their laundry list of ideas for shows, to eventually build this paradise you see before you.

for the record phil of the future and jonas were 2 disney channel shows. phil had its moments about a kid from the future living today (never saw jonas about the band) but yeah a disney channel level writer mixed with sandler brilliance explains all you need to know about blended.

  • films that ruined my day…. envy, by barry levinson, 3000 miles to graceland, by who gives a fuck and finally, killer joe, by william friedkin. i changed my mind on that last one though and happily own it on bluray now.

I used to love Now and Again. It was my first experience of having a sci fi show canceled on me. Well, ALF was first actually, but I just assumed the government caught him, experimented and dissected him, which I was cool with, I’ve always loved sad endings in sci fi even as a kid.

Movie that ruined my day? Easy: The Ten, made by the Children’s Hospital crew. That movie had a decent concept and a lot of talent, but my god did they just give up about a third of the way through making it. Seriously, I’ve never seen a movie that just kinda went “well, we’ve got another hour to go, I guess.”

Hey Chris, Reaper was a show that did not survive the writers strike. That’s why it was sadly cancelled.

  • Jean-François Martel

a woman named Emily Rose starring in a Stephen King show could be it’s own movie.
