One Of Us Visits the Haunts of Austin

Join us for our video adventure as we travel to three different haunted houses: House of Torment, Scare for a Cure, and Scream Hollow. Our gang has a great time visiting the ghouls, talking with the creators, and getting all spoopy. Also featuring Jon Schnitzer, the director of the must-see doc about haunted houses, Haunters: The Art of the Scare.

As much as I wish we could all get up to Montreal in the summer for their big genre film festival Fantasia Fest (and not just for the fest…it’s %*&% hot down here in Texas) it’s just not in the cards anytime soon. Fortunately, the amazing folks who run it are all too kind to interested press and send out a giant amount of screeners to their fascinating line-up of films. Richard, Patience, and Chris were the recipients of that largesse this time and got together to talk about what they saw, some of which you should really put down on your ‘seek out at all costs’ list. The Unnamed Interview Show: The House of Torment

Chris got a chance to get a full behind the scenes tour of the haunted house named the #1 scare attraction in America according to Hauntworld Magazine, The House of Torment. The tour that he got to film included scares, booze, food, schwag, and a full interview with the two guys who made all this happen, Jon Love and Dan McCullough.

Not only have these guys built this huge and scary place every year for a decade or so, but they own Thirteenth Floor Productions which has built award winning scare attractions all over the country. Chris got in-depth with them about how to get started in the Haunted House industry, what’s involved, and what’s the most fun about it. That’s not all, as there’s plenty of spooky behind-the-scenes video and also a bonus audio review of their full House of Torment experience going through as customers by Chris, Herman, Frank and Kyle. And so he did, as here, with the first of his pieces, is an interview with the makers of and a look at Rooster Teeth’s new documentary, The World’s Greatest Head Massage: An ASMR Journey. But that’s not all…We also have an audio podcast here as Chris Herman and his cameraman (and regular site contributor) Mike McAllister, his roommate Mike Riojas, and Chris Cox all discuss the film and what the heck ASMR is anyway.

Infestation: Welcome to Mr. Robot 2.0

Way back this year in March during SXSW we infiltrated USA Network’s Mr Robot by flashing our press credentials (yes, we have fedoras with little PRESS cards sticking out of them) and getting the grand tour. We filmed Sarah taking stock of all the amusements on display and we all had a great time. Which was all the better because we freakin’ LOVE MR ROBOT. And the new season starts on the 13th. So we held back this video until now as a promo for the new season. But I think you’re gonna have a lot of fun with it. Check it out…

Infestation: Interview with Andy Kindler at Moontower Comedy Fest 2016

Chris got a chance at this year’s Moontower Comedy Festival in Austin Texas to sit down with comedian Andy Kindler. Often dubbed ‘the comedian’s comedian’, Andy is known for his State of the Industry address at Montreal’s Just for Laughs festival where he tackles “hacks” in the comedy industry. He has worked on the shows Maron, Bob’s Burgers, The Daily Show, Dr Katz, Home Movies, Everybody Love Raymond, Last Comic Standing Wizards of Waverly Place and now, for reasons we cannot fathom but have learned not to question, he has deigned to spend time talking with Oneofus.net.
