2067 MOVIE REVIEW

From writer/director Seth Larney comes this sci fi mystery straight to your TV. In the distant future, fire consumes the earth, there’s no more naturally occurring oxygen, and artificial air is expensive AND it carries a virus that causes a certain amount of the population to reject it. Working stiff Ethan Whyte (Kodi Smit-McPhee) receives a message from his estranged father (Aaron Glenane) and no ordinary message: it’s from the future! Ethan must travel there (then?) and discover the mysteries of the past in an attempt to save the future (yes, that is confusing, we concur). With memories of his true love keeping him stalwart, Ethan will do what he can to send an important message to the ears of the people and the hearts of the audience. Bradly, Max, Jena, and Elliot discuss the dreary yet beautiful scenery, the lovely score, debate whether or not the payoff is worth the seemingly endless run time, and even get into some deep-cut geek discussion about how the TARDIS works.
