Screener Squad: Peripheral

Peripheral Movie Review

PERIPHERAL MOVIE REVIEW

They say you’ve had your whole life to write your first book, a lot less for your second. It’s MUCH harder to write. Especially if that first book was a huge success, spawning a cult of disturbingly enthusiastic followers. Bobbi finds herself struggling with a deadline and her editor insists on sending her the latest computer with writer-assistant software, despite her determined protestations. The computer starts affecting her life in strange ways…or is it the drugs she’s starting taking again? Or the incessant videotapes that keep getting dropped off by one of her obsessed fans? This little bottle film, techno-fear, sci-fi thriller features strong design and some cool ideas but our critics weren’t sure it knew what to do with them. Listen to Chris, Ryan, Matt, and Julien discuss the inputs and outputs of “Peripheral”.
