Never Have I Ever Season 1 Review

NEVER HAVE I EVER SEASON 1 REVIEW

Being a teen is hard. After a disastrous year in which her father dies and, for a time, loses her ability to walk, first-generation Indian-American, Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), is determined to turn things around her sophomore year. However, lingering grief, her fraught relationship with her mother (Poorna Jagannathan), and her own extreme temper do its best to derail Devi every step of the way. Based on the childhood experiences of producer Mindy Kaling, our reviewers, Brad, Harmoni, and Mindy give their thoughts on this charming coming-of-age comedy about the trials and tribulations that come with navigating being Indian and a teenager in southern California. Plus, there’s John McEnroe, because why not?
