DEVS TV SHOW REVIEW
What in the world is going on in Devs? It’s from writer/director Alex Garland who brought us the high-concept Annihilation and Ex-Machina, so you can be sure it’s not going to be the sorta thing that one would describe as ‘breezy’. Nick Offerman plays Forest, the head of a huge tech company with a super-secretive DEVS division. When Sergei (Karl Glusman) gets promoted but is discovered to be spying for the Russians, the company kills him. His devastated girlfriend Lily (Sonoya Mizuno) is pretty sure something is up and starts pursuing the matter. What actually lies at the heart of DEVS is…well, I’m not going to tell you here. But, I will say we had a BIT of a mixed reaction to this 8 episode miniseries. Listen to Chris, Paloma, Alexander, and Nathan give it the what for.
