EXTRA ORDINARY MOVIE REVIEW

This Irish horror-comedy was first shown at SXSW last year and missing it was one of my biggest regrets. Here we are a year later, it’s finally getting an official release AND DAMMIT WE WEREN’T GONNA MISS IT THIS TIME.

Rose is a driving instructor…but most of the calls she gets to her business are for help with ghosts. See, her dad was a famous paranormal investigator and she has powerful talents to send ghosts on to their final reward, but since her father died in an accident, she wants nothing further to do with the world of the unseen. Enter Martin, whose nagging wife won’t stop henpecking him even though she’s been dead for some time. He really needs Rose’s help, but the real problem in their town is a one-hit-wonder rock musician who is on the verge of closing a deal with a demon to get his stardom back, but it’s going to require a virgin sacrifice and lo, said virgin picked is Martin’s poor daughter. Rose is forced to use her talents to try to resolve these situations all while kinda making goo-goo eyes at Martin. And it’s all pretty damn fun. Chris, Tessa, Marco, and Ben review this one so check it out.
