THE AERONAUTS MOVIE REVIEW
In this ‘not exactly historically accurate, but oh hell, close enough’ adventure story, staid scientist Eddie Redmayne has teamed up with the showy (but troubled) pilot Felicity Jones to pilot a hot air balloon higher than anyone ever has before (the showy) and collect data on weather patterns (the staid). It is not, to say the least, a smooth ride. Along the way, we get the story of how did these two mismatched partners end up together anyway and the details on why exactly Jones is having such a hard time inside with going back up in a balloon. While Oscar season seemed like strange timing to release this film, our crew (Marco, Chris, Frank) still all really dug The Aeronauts. Listen to the review here.
