KLAUS MOVIE REVIEW

Netflix is continuing the Christmas movie avalanche with the release of Klaus. The story follows Jesper (Jason Schwartzman), the heir of the president of a successful postman organization who freeloads his way through life. To teach him a lesson, his father sends him to a remote arctic town called Smeerensburg to establish a postal service. Unfortunately, the town is a hellhole driven by two feuding families who thrive on chaos. While trying to do his job, Jesper’s path crosses with a lonely woodsman named Klaus (J.K. Simmons), who has a tremendous ability to make toys. Inspired by the man’s kindness and seeing a potential way to raise money to leave the town, Jesper organizes a plan to get children to send letters to Klaus and deliver gifts. Will the magic of the season warm his heart and change his intentions though? Justin, Ben, Julien, and Daniel ‘Dogget’ gathered around the campfire to tell stories of their experience with the movie. Did it reinvigorate their Christmas cheer? Or will they be exposed as scrooges?
