Highly Suspect Reviews: Blinded By The Light

Blinded By The Light Movie Review

BLINDED BY THE LIGHT MOVIE REVIEW

When a Pakistani teenager growing up in Thatcher’s England discovers Bruce Springsteen, it changes his whole life. Finding the working-class liberalism of the Boss especially enheartening, Javed starts to find his own voice. Despite the wishes of his strict traditionalist father and the intolerance in his town, he forms a support system and starts following his dreams. Rolling Stone said that it “…is a joyous antidote to cynicism. Cynics, of course, will hate it.” Might want to slap that ‘cynic’ label on our critics Ben and Kim because they were clearly not born to run with the love some folks are feeling for this film. Check out their review here.
