Based on the true story (and not as much on the original legendary 1973 adaptation with Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman, the makers would have us believe), the unenviable task of taking on this story of two inmates at a French Guyana prison who repeatedly attempted to escape is left to Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek.
