In this kinda-sorta-sequel (feels more like a spin-off), Josh Brolin returns as CIA Black Ops-y guy who now is being ordered by the government to covertly incite a war between the Mexican cartels and to do it by kidnapping the daughter of one the leaders and making it look like the other cartel did it. Who do you get for the blackest of black ops? Well, Benicio Del Toro’s character who returns as well from the first film only now he’s the center of the film as he has to defend the pre-teen from all comers.
