This film being the feature directorial debut from Sergio G Sánchez, the writer of The Orphanage and The Impossible, was enough to sway our heads towards its extremely limited theatrical release. Also, you got the extremely in-demand right now Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), and a talented young cast who all seem on the verge of breaking much bigger. So, this Emily Bronte, if she wrote about the 1960s kinda-sorta horror, made it seem like this might really be the sum of all its parts. Well, not so much.
