Richard Linklater has kinda mastered the road trip deep conversations thing. At least now with the release of his (kinda, sorta, not really) sequel to 1973’s The Last Detail. Bryan Cranston, Steve Carrell, and Lawrence Fishburne play old Vietnam war buddies who are uncomfortably reunited when Carrell asks them to join him for a trip to the funeral of his son who died in the Iraq war.
