‘Deadpool 2’ Teaser Trailer

Oh, yes! There are some things in life that you don’t know how much you want until you get it. The new teaser for Deadpool 2 has been released, and though it did not reveal any specifics about the highly anticipated sequel, it succeeded in exciting fans as much as the person writing this article (Okay maybe not that much).

The original Deadpool was released in February in 2016. Funny enough, it was actually a good date movie. Ryan Reynolds shed blood, sweat, and tears to get the movie made and it was immensely successful. It was the first superhero movie to push the envelope and use raunchy comedy and gore. It prompted the interest of the R-rating and proved its profitability. We knew because of its success that there was going to be a sequel, but this trailer is still a nice surprise.

There are so many awesome things about this teaser that we should begin with where it was released. The teaser was played in theaters before Logan and it then started popping up everywhere until Fox started pulling them down. Ryan Reynolds then added the title “No Good Deed” and uploaded the official clip to his own YouTube channel.

The premise of the teaser is rudimentary but there is so much detail. It contains everything that we want from Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds, references, dark humor, Stan Lee cameo, and an abridged version of the “Old Man and the Sea” at the end of the credits. Yet, the one element that truly stuck out was the production value. The teaser looks beautiful and it is apparent that there was a sizeable budget behind it. We can now speculate that Fox will spend more than the measly thirty to $58 million that they spent on the last film.

I was one of the ones who was worried when Tim Miller who was the original director left the project. I was still even skeptical when they signed on David Leitch, who previously co-directed both John Wick films. However, I’m definitely on board after seeing the enthusiasm of Reynolds and just a glimpse of what the film could be.

According to the teaser, the movie is coming out “Not Soon Enough” but sources say that the release date is March 2, 2018 (EW).
