We Are Error Reviews: Battlefield 1

  • by

It was the war to end all wars and it didn’t end a goddamn thing. World War I is hardly showcased in pop culture or entertainment, and it’s brutal conflicts are not nearly as romanticized as World War II’s. It’s because of these various factors that’s DICE’s decision to set a Battlefield game during the Great War caught many gamers by surprise. Featuring bolt-action rifles, trench clubs, sword-wielding horsemen and heavily armed zeppelins, Battlefield 1 quickly became one of the most anticipated titles of 2016.

With a relatively unexplored historical setting in video games and an impressive visual aesthetic, does Battlefield 1 manage to stand a part from the glut of first-person military shooters? Have a listen and find out what Chris, Jon and Justin thought about the game!
