‘Wonder Woman’ Trailer #2

In the wake of Suicide Squad and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Brothers is continuing the expansion of their film universe with the Patty Jenkins helmed Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot (The Fast & The Furious series) and Chris Pine (Abram’s Star Trek). With a short, but impressive directing resume behind her (2003’s Monster as well as episodes of AMC’s The Killing), Jenkins is certainly one that could possibly make a solid DC movie and break the current cycle of mediocrity.

An Amazonian princess leaves her home to explore the world and in the process becomes the iconic superhero, Wonder Woman. Shortly following the release of her origin story is Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

With the process of editing, reshooting, re-editing Suicide Squad (as well as the incredible integrity of David Ayer rightfully standing beside his movie; much respect despite the audience response) meeting widespread hate, it makes me hope Jenkins’s voice remains prominent in the finished product.

Wonder Woman arrives June 2, 2017.
