  1. 5. Wilson – Home Improvement

Starting with my # 5, I have Wilson from Home Improvement. I chose him because of his worldly knowledge as he seems to have a story that could relate to any situation. He could give you these proverbs that would help to enlighten how to handle any situation that you are going through.

    4. Dumbledore – Harry Potter

Continuing with the wise old man theme, I have Dumbledore from Harry Potter. He very much like Gandalf is someone that I would want to do good by as he shows how much he cares about his students and while he is the Headmaster of Hogwarts, he never distances himself from any of the students as we see through the interactions that he has with Harry and it shows that despite his status, that he is very approachable to any of any age and status and willing to listen and also be a friend to the students. Which is something that I would admire in him as he can be a friend and a mentor without letting his status get in his way.

    3. Master Splinter – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

My next two are stern but loving. With Master Splinter, you see that he is willing to call people out when they act up such as the times the Turtles have messed up and will discipline them but you know that it comes from a place of love as he is a father to the Turtles and having a father figure like Master Splinter would be wonderful as he would be willing to call you on when you have messed up and he’ll know that you can do better than what you see in yourself and will help to shape you into a better person.

    2. Mr. Feeny – Boy Meets World

Like with Master Splinter, Mr. Feeny is stern but loving. He will help you to become he would challenge you to make yourself better. He will not let you stop at good enough, he’ll help you to strive for perfection and will know when to get out of your way as he’ll want to see you succeed you and he will help you get there but he won’t do the work for you.

    1. Doc Brown – Back To The Future

I was iffy at first as to whether or not, the Doc counted but he is a mentor to Marty. Through Marty’s travels with Doc, you see how Doc helps shape Marty by giving him simple lessons that he can take to heart. Such as teaching him not to let people get under his skin. I think that he would help you grow by letting you experience what you are doing but also give you little spouts of wisdom that you should take to heart and he would trust you to make the right decisions because he would view as a friend and I think that is what make him the best mentor because he’s only trying to be a friend to you with knowledge of things that have happened or could happen considering that he’s a time traveller and he would want you to avoid the mistakes that he has seen that you could make such as how he knew about Marty’s accident with the Rolls Royce but couldn’t tell him. Again, Doc Brown to me is the best mentor as he is just trying to be a friend that is looking out for you.
