Highly Suspect Reviews: Finding Dory

Because there were so many unanswered questions, Pixar felt the need to return to the undersea world of Finding Nemo with this new direct-to-dvd theatrical sequel, Finding Dory. This time…they have to find Dory. Yup. Also, the main bad guy and good guy (?) from The Wire as seals. And lots of mentally disabled or psychologically…different…animals. THERE’S A MESSAGE, DAMMIT. Chris, JC, Elliott, and Herman tell you about it.

Born in the wilds of northern Virginia, in 1992 Chris managed to put all of his survival skills to use and barely escaped with his life to Austin Texas, where ever since he’s dabbled in everything from plumber’s assistant to sandwich maker, from band to bar management. An opportunity to see theatrical release films for free, by becoming a critic on a local public access show called “The Reel Deal”, turned into a full time job when Chris and his friends decided to take it to the internet. They built the site Spill.com, adding multiple podcasts and animated features, to no small amount of success. During this time, a fortuitous friendship sprung up between Chris and young Brian Salisbury, who was also a local film critic, and they merged their forces of will, and their laundry list of ideas for shows, to eventually build this paradise you see before you.

The worst pixar movie besides cars? Is it really worse than The Good Dinosaur? because that movie was so lazy that it pissed me off, I hope it is a little better than than that.

Nemo had it’s problems but was simple and charming, this feels endless… Get in the bucket! swim through the tunnel, have a flashback, get back in the bucket, luck out with another impossible set piece! Desperately trying to tie it all together with irritating as fuck non stop chatter! which is what bothered me most about the first film – Dory! she’s always been a pain in the arse. best thing was the short before it – Piper i think it was called and it made the main feature look dated! oh and it was fun watching the octopus move around i guess
