Academy favorite Tom Hooper directs this tale of an artist living in Copenhagen in the early 1920s (Eddie Redmayne) with his also-an-artist-but-not-as-successful wife (Alicia Vikander) and all is well. That is, until one day she asks him to model for her as a woman and he likes it. A lot. So much so that he decides that he wants to be a woman. Tragic stuff ensues.
