The Hunger Games franchise comes to a close (at least for the time being) with this final chapter that brings all the rebels together in a final stand against the capitol and President Snow. And it brings Chris, Brian, Herman, JC, and Elliott together in a final stand to ask…why did they split this up into two movies again?

Warning: This is a SPOILER review, so if you don’t want the events of the film revealed, wait to listen till after you’ve seen it.

Born in the wilds of northern Virginia, in 1992 Chris managed to put all of his survival skills to use and barely escaped with his life to Austin Texas, where ever since he’s dabbled in everything from plumber’s assistant to sandwich maker, from band to bar management. An opportunity to see theatrical release films for free, by becoming a critic on a local public access show called “The Reel Deal”, turned into a full time job when Chris and his friends decided to take it to the internet. They built the site Spill.com, adding multiple podcasts and animated features, to no small amount of success. During this time, a fortuitous friendship sprung up between Chris and young Brian Salisbury, who was also a local film critic, and they merged their forces of will, and their laundry list of ideas for shows, to eventually build this paradise you see before you.

Guys, the reason there was no big payoff is because one of the central themes of the Hunger Games series is that we as a society shouldn’t glorify violence. Putting in an action-packed payoff would go against everything the franchise stands for.

If we have the power to end mass genocide and death, even if it is not our own country, we are morally obligated to try to end said mass murder, what the fuck is your problem? I get wanting to let others help themselves and not interfere, but you really would be cool with standing by and letting mass murder happen? So your on the side of the torturing, raping, mass murdering villains in the Rambo movies??? Are you fucking serious???
