Unusual Suspects, this is your mission, if you choose to accept it: to watch all the way through the new Mission Impossible movie…without giggling at how silly it all is. No, I’m kidding, no one is physically capable of that. Except maybe Elliott. But listen to the case files. Chris, Brian, Elliott, Joe and JC will self-destruct after this review.

Born in the wilds of northern Virginia, in 1992 Chris managed to put all of his survival skills to use and barely escaped with his life to Austin Texas, where ever since he’s dabbled in everything from plumber’s assistant to sandwich maker, from band to bar management. An opportunity to see theatrical release films for free, by becoming a critic on a local public access show called “The Reel Deal”, turned into a full time job when Chris and his friends decided to take it to the internet. They built the site Spill.com, adding multiple podcasts and animated features, to no small amount of success. During this time, a fortuitous friendship sprung up between Chris and young Brian Salisbury, who was also a local film critic, and they merged their forces of will, and their laundry list of ideas for shows, to eventually build this paradise you see before you.

Who should make the next movie? If Tony Scott was still alive, I will pick him.

I hear people say that, Sean Harris looks like a older Simon Pegg.

So is this movie trying to be a satire?

    • AlbinoAssassin

No. It is a little cliché with some fun ideas sprinkles in.

    Interesting take on the movie.

Jesus, we get it! You didn’t like Pixels! Now quit it!

That one might be my fault I think. But seriously, screw that movie. 🙂

It wasn’t good but I wasn’t mad about it. At least JC found redeeming qualify in it.

Don’t you mean “qualities”? Also, the consensus I’ve heard from other critics is the same all around: One in particular uses the old Spill.com rating to summarize his review: “F@%*# This Movie! F^*$~ everyone who made this movie, & if you pay money to see this movie; #*%$ U 2!”

            Spelling error.

If you liked Pixels or perhaps at least didn’t totally hate it, that’s cool. Have your opinion and don’t apologize for it or care what others think, but every single critic or person I know who’s seen it has hate it and everything it’s stood for. So I think the general consensus is in; Pixels is viewed by most as one of the biggest piles of garbage in recent memory. Thus I don’t think you can fault the One of Us crew for bringing up how they felt that movie sucked.

Fifty Shades of Grey is worse. I rather sit through Pixels than that.

I was entertained but the last 15 mins was kind of blah. Again they show too much of the movie in the trailers.

I loved this movie. I think it was almost as good as Ghost Protocol.
